Well, I am a happy camper now…….. all 21 bracelets ready to go into the exhibition at Sunset Winery. 21 bracelets all together! The theme is 7 on the wall at Sunset featuring 7 artists and I picked the Chakra colours as my inspiration. Lots of glass beads (hours of fun on the [...] Some pics of the lovely Calendula flowers I have in the garden at the moment. They are such a beautifully sunny yellow that it cheers me up straight away just looking at the flowers. They are so stunning and just the variations in yellow is amazing as well. After such a long period of intense cold, wet, wet days with strong gusty winds…… it is certainly nice to have a couple of days waking up to warm sunshine. I took a nice leisurely walk down the driveway (2km return) and it was just nice not to have to brace against a gusty [...] Well, yes.. I knew it was going to be a busy period but I wasn’t prepared for the extra frustration from a healing hand. My left hand has “good days” and “bad days” and there have been quite a few of the latter recently. I am not giving up and it has actually made [...] Yesterday was a sad day. I handed in my resignation as a member of the Kangaroo Island community gallery. It has been quite a few years since I first started there and it was a good place to start and learn but it is time to move on. I just can’t find enough hours [...] Well….. I did try to rush it didn’t I? Trying to get back on the torch straight away after removing the splint on my left hand. Well…….. it didn’t work and I must admit I felt very frustrated and even a bit anxious that I might not be able to get back on to [...] Well, it’s July and we are now well into the new Financial Year here in Australia. It has been somewhat hectic for me personally since May from the day I cut my hand at work and severed the nerve in my ring finger. Thankfully that was my left hand and whilst it has been [...] OMG I am so excited!!!! I just received the confirmation email for my new torch. I have heard so much about this torch and how good it is that I just HAD to upgrade. I want to start playing with “hard glass” and my current torch will probably not be as hot as the [...] My two gorgeous fur babies turn 3 years old today!!! I think they know it is a special day……… there were extra cuddles this morning in bed and Precious was actually awake early!!! Happy Birthday Mysty & Precious Aren’t they just gorgeous????? ……… and I can hear ‘trouble happening out in the kitchen [...] Sunday 6th June from 9am to 1pm at the Penneshaw Oval. There will be stalls in the hall and if weather is good, some stalls will be outdoors as well. I can’t get there this time as I cannot drive with my hand injury for a couple more weeks but I have sent some [...] |
